Capacitors are electrical components
Capacitors are electrical components that are physically generally consists of two conductors separated by insulating material or dielektrikum.
The capacitance of a capacitor is defined as: Description:
Q is a charge on one conductor
V is the potential difference V both conductors.
Basically, a capacitor consists of two conductors are insulated by a nonkonduktor. Both conductors called electrodes and nonkonduktor called dielektrikum.
Capacitance is a measure of ability of capacitors to store energy in an electric field. Capacitance expressed in farads. 1 farad capacitor is the ability to store electric charge 1 coulomb when given voltage 1 volt. In practical usage, the unit of farad is too large that is usually used smaller units such as:
1 microfarads (μF) = 10-6 farad
1 nanofarad (nF) = 10-9 farad
1 pikofarad (pF) = 10-12 farads
Nature Capacitors
Capacitor voltage alternating forward but did not pursue the average voltage. The capacitor properties, among others can:
1. store electric charge
2. withstand direct current
3. pass an alternating current
4. variables to select the desired wavelength radio
5. avoid stepping on the electric circuit containing a coil when the current played.
6. store electrical charges of small size
Capacitor Function
1. Storage electric charge
2. Liaison (coupling)
3. Filter specific frequencies
4. Perverts flow (by Pass)
5. Successor of AC current
6. Filter (filter)
